My Lord Please End This Unending War

The war amongst muslim separatists, NPA, AFP/PNP/Government never ends. People want to see an end to this. By the way who is winning? The one in power is winning? Somehow the losing side could flex some power too in some occasions. The ordinary people are the one losing. They get very little purchasing power. They are the ones caught in fires and other disasters. They want a clear winner who can get them out of their misery. They resort to drugs, to gambling, to cellphone snatching just to forget about this beleaguering war. The supposedly winning side could not think of ending the war because it somehow shows them the path to instant wealth. They can always settle in other countries once it gets too hot for them. It seems everything is fine just because people would not mind. They have their own problems to look into. So the unending war continues. Money flows. Arms flow. Hypocrites linger. People die. Asslickers hold high offices. Big business turns to global citizens with money to burn. The country, meanwhile, suffers but not in silence. Somehow some littlest of hope is still hanging in there. And life has to move on. Pathetically oblivious to the surrounding decadence. Parties, speeches, traipsing around like nothing absolutely nothing is wrong, gambling, drugs, petty crimes, child and women abuse. Convicts, killers, rapists, plunderers, being pardoned. Whew. End it all, I pray my Lord, Amen.
