Mother Earth Just Healing Herself

after sometime age does catch up
even on the most generous host
with her cronies out of reach
but still monitoring all her movements
nothing she could do
but to take it as it is
some people feel the heat and says she's sick
others say it's just a phase
all will be back to normal soon
yet the painfully languid trek
to the anticipated tipping point
is making everyone edgy
except for a few who keep on the plunder
greed at all cost nothing to worry
she's just healing herself
and of course people will perish in the process
but the greedy will be spared
for the gods see fit
that they go frothing by the mouth first
before spitting the slime
the cure for all this madness

Devil in the Detail

fuzzy about details
looking for that little devil
hiding behind a thumbnail
peeping through a dot
can't find the little imp
as it manages to move
from obvious to obscure
but when you get a glimpse
which is not so rare
the devil bares its fangs
protruding prominently
not unlike an ugly hag
that turns into a rat
with one snap of a wand
that bares the innermost soul
of a creature most vile
soon this lukewarm facade
couldn't keep up with the pace
the environs keep changing
as fast as a shutter's click
gnash those funny teeth and weep
the sweeper will find you
you little bloody tic

A Syndicated Life of Global Warming Believers and Deniers

every one belongs to a syndicate

some have one too many

others just enough
numbers aren't important

it's the member's psycho-make up that counts

but generally it's only about two syndicates
the good and the bad

proponents of global warming

suddenly are up against the deniers
who have every reason to protect their skin
the good syndicate is most of the time
at the losing end because they have to resort to prayers
the bad ones are action oriented
they got the dough

the ones in between surely fall for them
especially the weaker ones even if they pray daily
dough is a great motivator
it dictates the present while prayer
is banking on what is to come
we study then work for dough
we admire people who have it excessively

we'd work for these people
they offer easy access to dough
it's the way the world goes
till the world itself would not take it any longer
the deniers'd just stay the course
cursing and laughing at their own joke
as they'd be the last to go

the prayerful, take heart
you are not of this world
a changed world is near
that is if deep inside you
you believe the impossible

act now to save mother earth
