Mang Pandoy's Valedictory

Thank God! Now I'm at peace. It was hard my Lord. Again, please forgive them for they do not know what they do. Should you be more forgiving? They're supposed to know after a thousand years. Yet again, in this world there's indeed trouble but let it not bother you for I have overcome the world. You assured. Now I'm lying in peace. Away from the troubles of this world. Going back you very well know what they've done to me. I couldn't do anything except to follow. They showed me to my countrymen, stripped me. Promising some progress to my poor wretched life. After 20 years or less, I die in your arms. But never in the arms of what they promised to me. A better life. It's racketeer's paradise the system. It's what your racket not what work do you do. I was left on my own the system would not absorb me. Haven't you noticed, we're in fantasy land. Thanks for a wretched life. I tried. Some saw something, and manipulated my wretched situation. Threw me away like a trapo. The world needs victors at whatever cost. Losers are paraded then dumped. Lords go scot-free. They can sit presidents. It's funny I'm free and they're still working pretty hard for this thing I've reached painfully so. Peace.

Crunch Time

Last 2 minutes. A fast one is on the table. You know 1 is really very fast. 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 year. It's fast. Long before you know it's gone. They're always doing us powerless a fast one. Then they'd be the first ones to go. After bleeding us dry. We remain impoverished. Somehow some of us learn fast too. But those are exceptionally gifted. I wish they learn fast too, to save the slow. Not themselves and coop with the oppressors later. Beware of the fast lane now that it's crunch time. They 'd bring it on. We might learn fast from arrogance. How sad. To be arrogant is to court loneliness. The meek truly deserve the earth. The earth gives back what she receives. To the fast ones, think, go slow now that it's bone-breaking last stages of a fast one of a coup. It might yet save your life if not your soul.

Atop the Tiger

It was easy mounting. Thus far, so good. Exhilarating turbulent ride. Riders need not worry at the moment. The kitty bursting with flesh and blood. The tiger is reined in perfectly. No end in sight. The limit is near but the tiger is tireless. Just up the ante. The tiger will gobble up everything on its path. There'll be no term limit. The riders may see the finish line but the tiger's blinders are working pretty well. They might just be running another lap again and again and again. The ride has produced wealth and stink beyond one's imagination. There's no sense in alighting from a mount that gives unheard of perks and privileges. One growl and the dog-like critics scamper with tails folded between the legs. Unsheathe the swords, there's no backing off. The head of state if wanting so much to be the head for life has got to be prepared to sacrifice no less than its head. My fellow riders just take it as it comes. So far the tiger is venting its ire on those who dare to cross its path. Never mind when in the end, without any more enemies to eat, our heads will end up inside its mouth. We'd be old and grey by then. Our heads are no problem, we've lost them since we mount the tiger. The lord, my lord, our lord is laughing greedily with us. That's all that matters.

In the Open

Everything is in the open. Nothing seems to worry the cheats. The sleeping giants of the pinoys haven't awakened. Why let them pigs slurp, slurp, and slurp. The powerless are the ones in trouble once they tell on the powerful. The powerful know it pretty well and are ramming every cruel show of might down our throats and all we powerless can do is watch in awe and shame. There are some who grunt but would still prefer to wait, 2010?, that's far and surely there are ways to prolong the impunity the powerful are enjoying. I hope the giant is roused from sleep. The country is becoming one big pigsty. Daddy pig, mommy pig, crony pig, sucking piglets, the country's pearls are just trampled on. It's all about dirty money. Just give token money to the poor and they'll keep quiet and die peacefully. Let me eat my words. Bangon na noypi. Tigilin na pagtatampisaw sa putik. Dalhin na sa bangin ang mga baboy na yan.
